Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) is the third film in the Original Trilogy, directed by Richard Marquand. The story begins with the rescue mission for Captain Han Solo, frozen in carbonite and delivered to Jabba the Hutt. The epic Battle of Endor represents the climax with multiple fronts: in space the Rebel Fleet faces the Imperial Fleet, while on the surface a team attempts to destroy the protective shield with the help of the adorable Ewoks. The most emotional moment is Darth Vader's redemption, who sacrifices his life to save Luke from Emperor Palpatine, redeeming Anakin Skywalker and finally finding peace. The movie closes with a celebration across the galaxy after the Rebellion's victory.
